Mizzole featured in a study of sustainable Valpolicella vineyards

Mizzole was presented as one of three vineyards on a single eastern Valpolicella ridge managed through different agricultural approaches. The area is crossed by the Fibbio river and combines mountain indentations, hills and plains. The vineyard was planted in phases between 1980 and 1990 at 200 m above sea level on calcareous-clay soil, with Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

By the date of the event, Mizzole had been organically cultivated for ten years. Its certification process began in 2020 and was expected to conclude in 2023. The article also documented the 2018 arrival of Graziana Grassini: working with the oenology team, she introduced more delicate blend components and softened the green notes of a style previously centred on muscularity and robustness.
