Liù was conceived as a Merlot focused on varietal purity, freshness and a combination of slender form with substantive depth. An early harvest supports that stylistic direction.

The freshness and expansiveness attributed to the soils allow gradual, progressive ripening even in particularly hot seasons. The same rigorous agronomic principles associated with Sammarco and Vigna d’Alceo were applied to the new wine.
