The Carapace among the 50 best wineries in the world

The Carapace entered the World’s Best Vineyards 2024 ranking at number 25 and received the title Highest New Entry. The results were announced in the United Kingdom on 4 November.

The classification was based on voting by 500 wine and tourism specialists. The Carapace was recognised both as a working Montefalco Sagrantino cellar and as a destination where sculpture, architecture, landscape and wine intersect.

The dome’s tortoise-shell inspiration links it with ideas of antiquity and longevity, while the fissures in its copper covering evoke the furrows of the Umbrian soil and the influence of time on wine.
