The Carapace displayed at the Triennale di Milano for Arnaldo Pomodoro’s 90th birthday

The Carapace formed part of the Milan programme celebrating Arnaldo Pomodoro’s 90th birthday. From 30 November 2016 to 5 February 2017, the Triennale di Milano displayed the winery project through drawings and a 1:20 scale model.

A virtual-reality installation offered a 360-degree journey through the Sagrantino vineyards, over and beneath the Carapace dome and into the underground barrel cellar. The exhibition also placed the winery within the longer history of collaboration between Pomodoro and the Lunelli family, including the 1992 commemorative disc and the 2002 Centenarium sculpture.
