Questo vino
Grapes
Bosco and Albarola are blended.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, macerated on their skins and fermented spontaneously with natural yeasts in steel vats.
Ageing
The wine rests briefly in small oak vats before being bottled without fining or filtration.
Label / history
The wine is named after the Florentine artist Telemaco Signorini, who fell in love with the rocky Cinque Terre coast in 1860 and returned each year to draw inspiration from its scenery. The name also evokes Telemachus, the son of Ulysses and Penelope in Greek mythology, whose long search for his father represents patience and persistence; Ulysses’s Mediterranean journey after the Trojan War represents courage, resourcefulness and determination. These qualities reflect the challenges of winemaking in Cinque Terre.
