Vineyard and terroir
The Primitivo fruit is grown in Puglia in southern Italy.
Vinification
Ripe grapes are harvested by hand in early September. The must ferments for 10 days at a controlled 28–30 °C, with daily pumping over.
Ageing
The wine matures in large oak barrels for six months.
Tasting profile
The nose is fruity. The palate is rich and elegant.
Label / history
The wine received a bronze medal at the 2017 IWSC. Production is overseen by Claudio Manera of Araldica Castelvero and Lella Burdese of Boutinot’s Italian division, from grape selection through vinification, maturation, blending and bottling.
