Label / history
Duca di Saragnano is Barbanera's flagship brand and covers wines from several regions of Italy. It is named after a Duke di Saragnano, a warrior who fought the Saracens for the freedom of Southern Italy. Luigi Barbanera, an ancestor of the Barbanera family, was a close friend of the Duke.
In the annual "Migliori Vini Italiani" ("Best Italian Wines"), Alchymia has received 98 points four times and 97 points once over the past five years.
