Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown in Trentino, in the mountainous Adige Valley of northern Italy. The vineyards are planted at high density and managed for limited yields, contributing richness and concentration.
Vinification
The grapes undergo 15 days of maceration. The must is then fermented in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 20–28 °C.
Label / history
The range name TTT stands for “Trust The Taste”. Bolla was founded in Veneto in 1883 by Abele Bolla. Its wines won a gold medal at a competition in Bologna in 1909. The winery produced its first Amarone vintage in 1950.
In the late 1960s, the American corporation Brown-Forman acquired a 40% stake and began selling Bolla wines in the United States. In 1989, the Gambero Rosso guide named Bolla a “National Oenological Institute” representing Italian wines internationally.
