Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The Primitivo is grown in Puglia’s dry clay-limestone soils. The vines develop deep roots in search of water, producing low yields and aromatic berries with concentrated fruit flavours. The region has abundant sunshine, while the nearby Mediterranean Sea provides cooling sea breezes; this climate contributes finesse and balanced fruit character.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at the end of August and taken directly to the winery for gentle pressing. Vinification lasts 10 days at a controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures in stainless-steel tanks until June.
Tasting profile
The nose is elegant, fruity and spicy. The palate is rich and well balanced, leading to a long, graceful finish.
Label / history
The wine takes its name from the Primitivo grape.
