Vineyard and terroir
The Merlot grows on south-facing hillsides near Verona, in well-drained soils. The estate’s agronomists examined the soils and their effects on selected vines, and yields were reduced to improve grape quality.
Grapes
The Merlot fruit was carefully selected.
Vinification
The wine macerated on the skins for 15 days and underwent malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
It matured for 15 months in oak barrels, 60% of them new, followed by six months in the estate’s cellars after bottling.
Tasting profile
Fruity, with red and dark berry aromas. The palate is warm, velvety, harmonious and well balanced.

Gerardo Cesari created the wine following extensive research into the interaction between the vines and the growing conditions in the estate’s vineyards.
