Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown in Monte Calvario and Piedimonte. The vineyards in Piedimonte are among the oldest in the region.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at full ripeness. Fermentation takes place on the skins for around 40 days in truncated cone-shaped oak vats, using only native yeasts.
Ageing
The wine matures for around 36 months in large 20 or 30 hl oak barrels, followed by a further 12 months in bottle before release.

Label / history
“Prelit” means “poured” in the local dialect.
