Vineyard and terroir
The Sangiovese is grown on plots in the Gran Sasso mountain range, in the Terre di Chieti area of Abruzzo. Gran Sasso lies in the highest part of the Apennines.
Vinification
The wine is made using traditional methods. Seventy per cent is vinified in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine is matured in used oak barrels.
Label / history
The name refers to the Gran Sasso mountain range.
