Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the Benevento region, at 400–600 metres above sea level. The vineyards occupy sunny slopes with volcanic, clay and limestone soils, conditions that contribute freshness and bright acidity.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes are gently pressed. The juice is settled and fermented at 12–14 °C. Production follows a minimal-intervention approach intended to preserve the fruit’s natural character and connection to its terroir.
Ageing
The wine rests briefly on its lees with regular bâtonnage, followed by cold stabilisation, filtration and bottling.
Tasting profile
Fresh, with bright acidity.
Label / history
Terre del Vulcano is a Farnese project developed with small producers in Campania whose vineyards stand on volcanic soils shaped by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius 2,000 years ago. Winemaker Marco Flacco was invited to create the “Lava” range.
