Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow in vineyards in Avellino, on volcanic rock and sand. The soils are linked to the eruption of Mount Vesuvius 2,000 years ago and contribute a distinctive mineral character.

Vinification

The grapes are gently pressed, followed by static settling of the must and fermentation at 12–14 °C. Bâtonnage, cold stabilization and filtration follow. Minimal-intervention methods are used to preserve the wine’s natural character.

Tasting profile

Intense and fresh, with a distinctive mineral character.

Serving and pairing

Suitable as an aperitif and with fish dishes.

Label / history

Terre del Vulcano is a new Farnese project developed in collaboration with small producers in Campania whose vineyards are on volcanic soils. Winemaker Marco Flacco was invited to create the “Lava” range.
