Style
Quintarelli's answer to the Super Tuscans and to Bordeaux, first released in the early 1980s: concentrated and powerful, with herbs, tobacco and dark spice from the Cabernet Franc, liquorice and leather from the Cabernet Sauvignon, and coffee, cocoa and caramel after cask.
Vinification
Made from dried Cabernet and Merlot grapes.
Ageing
The only Quintarelli wine aged in barrique: about four years in small French oak barrels.
