Vineyard and terroir
The Pinot Nero comes from hillside vineyards at Impruneta, Florence, at 200 m above sea level. The vines have a south-eastern exposure and grow on clay-shale soil.
Grapes
100% Pinot Nero.
Vinification
Harvest takes place during the first ten days of September. Vinification is carried out in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 18 months in large Central European oak casks, followed by at least six months in bottle.

Alcohol: approximately 13.00%.
Tasting profile
Intense ruby red with light garnet nuances. The broad, complex bouquet is gently fruity, combining earthy mineral notes with chocolate, spices and leather. Medium-bodied and ample on the palate, with an articulated, fairly dense tannic texture balanced by acidity. The finish is long, mineral and spicy.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 18–19°C. Pair with lighter red-meat dishes, mushrooms, pâtés and firm aged cheeses.
