Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown around Marsala. The vines are planted at a density of 3,500 plants per hectare in limestone and sandy soils.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in the first week of September, then carefully sorted and gently pressed. The must settles for 48 hours before racking. Fermentation with native yeasts begins in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature and continues in oak barrels.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in French oak tonneaux, followed by at least six months in bottle before release.
