Vineyard and terroir
The Syrah is grown in the Belice Valley on deep alluvial soils with good levels of organic matter and iron.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, then macerated and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine rests for four months, with 70% aged in French oak barrels and 30% in stainless-steel tanks.

Barone Montalto was founded in 2000 in Santa Ninfa, in the province of Trapani, and is part of the MGM Mondo del Vino group. Its vineyards cover 400 ha, most of which are managed under the Montalto Quality Protocol. In 2015, the winery received an AA rating from BRC/GSF.
