White Piedmontese wines and Moscato form the wine base.
Vinification
A modern interpretation of the historical recipe combines the wine with sugar, alcohol and natural extracts from 46 aromatic herbs encompassing flowers, roots, fruits and spices. Ingredients identified in the recipe include quinine bark, Succirubra quinine, gentian root, Acorus calamus, sweet and bitter orange peel, Roman wormwood, rhubarb, yarrow flowers, bay leaves, Florence iris, Ceylon cinnamon, knapweed, valerian, Piedmont-grown genzianella, elderflower, linden flower, zedoary turmeric, green chiretta, Viola yedoensis, coriander, cloves, Cape aloe, ginger, citrine sandalwood, cardamom, nutmeg, vanilla berries, Piedmont-grown light wormwood and artichoke leaves.

Alcohol: 17% vol. Available format: 0.75 L.
Serving and pairing
Serve cold over ice in summer, either as an aperitif or after dinner. In winter it may be prepared as a hot drink using three teaspoons. Its botanical composition gives it a refreshing, thirst-quenching character.
Label / history
Vermouth di Torino originated in the 18th century and was appreciated during the era of the House of Savoy. Mirafiore began producing it in the early 19th century; the current version revisits the historical recipe.
