Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the province of Trapani, on Sicily’s western coast, at an altitude of 100 metres. The province borders the Tyrrhenian Sea. The mineral-rich soils are clay. The Mediterranean climate is marked by mild winters, limited rainfall, and very hot, windy summers.
Vinification
Harvest runs from late August through the first ten days of September. The grapes undergo partial maceration at low temperature, followed by alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for four months in stainless-steel tanks.
