Come nasce un Rosato. La storia del Rosa del Golfo
After studying oenology in Alba, Mino Calò challenged the family model of bulk-wine production, advocating lower volumes and higher quality. Following prolonged experimentation, he completed 1,000 bottles of Rosa del Golfo in 1964. He refined the traditional lacrima system through greater cleanliness and low yields, later working with Angelo Solci and adding temperature control through Puglia's first winery refrigeration plant. The name combines the wine's pink colour with the Gulf of Gallipoli.
