“O” stands for Orisi, the near-extinct grape variety that Santa Tresa has brought back to life

Publication of the revised Terre Siciliane IGT regulations in the Official Gazette formally recognised Orisi as an authorised grape. The decision allowed the variety’s name to be placed on a label for the first time. Santa Tresa presented the milestone as the culmination of a long programme of research, agronomic planning and winemaking work that also led to a limited organic Orisi red.
