Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The Pinot Grigio comes from hillside and level vineyards in Friuli Colli Orientali, at approximately 170 metres above sea level. The soils combine marl, sandstone and clay. Plantings date from 1977 to 2008, with approximately 4,000 vines per hectare trained to Guyot.
Grapes
100% Pinot Grigio.
Vinification
Contact with the grape skins during vinification gives the wine its distinctive pale pink colour and copper reflections.
Tasting profile
Pale pink with copper highlights. The aroma combines floral notes with apple, pear and woodland berries. The palate is sweet-toned and creamy, with intense fruit sensations and persistent flavour.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 8–10 °C. Pair with crab, scampi or prawns—especially when steamed—as well as razor clams, scallops and stewed cuttlefish. It also suits fish-based pasta and risotto.
