Tenute Lunelli pays tribute to Arnaldo Pomodoro with Carapace Centenario

Tenute Lunelli unveiled Carapace Centenario for the 100th anniversary of Arnaldo Pomodoro's birth. The edition consists of 100 three-litre bottles of Carapace Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG 2016, produced in the winery he designed.

The launch formed part of the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro's centenary programme, inaugurated on 28 May with the exhibition Arnaldo Pomodoro. Una Vita at Gallerie d'Italia in Milan. Pomodoro had died the previous year, shortly before his 99th birthday.

The bottle design draws directly on the Carapace: its label is made from copper, reproduces Pomodoro's graphic symbol for the estate and carries the official centenary logo. A black wax seal completes the presentation. The project renews the relationship between the Lunelli family and the Foundation and commemorates the artist's union of sculpture, architecture and wine.
