Villa Margon at Vinitaly's discussion on the present and future of white wine
The 8 April Vinitaly session examined emerging viticultural and oenological trends, competition from rosé wines, native varieties, organic farming, communication and marketing. Ian D'Agata led the tasting and round table with participants including Lorenzo Landi, Maurizio Castelli, Joe Bastianich, Arianna Occhipinti, Cristiana Tiberio, Ampelio Bucci and Ettore Nicoletto. Marcello Lunelli, oenologist for Cantine Ferrari and Tenute Lunelli, presented Villa Margon 2017 and discussed its sustainably cultivated Chardonnay from the mountain vineyards around the sixteenth-century family residence.
