Second nature: a new winemaking philosophy is here
The emerging philosophy values attentive farming and cellar work while avoiding unnecessary intervention. Because natural wine has no universally accepted definition and more than 40 certification systems exist, the initial selection uses France’s Vin Méthode Nature criteria as a practical reference. The broader ambition goes beyond cellar technique to include bottle weight, traceability and fair treatment of vineyard and winery workers. Certification is not treated as indispensable, since some small producers cannot justify its cost despite following the underlying principles.
