Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from vineyards in Salento, Puglia—the only fruit in the Villa Diana range sourced there rather than Abruzzo. The vineyards are influenced by the nearby sea and a hot, humid climate, with clay-limestone soils.
Vinification
Harvest begins at optimal ripeness. The grapes are picked entirely by hand and carefully sorted. Traditional red-wine vinification is followed by skin maceration at a controlled temperature. Gentle pressing preserves the anthocyanins that contribute to the wine’s depth of colour.
Tasting profile
Elegant, with a bright, memorable character.
Serving and pairing
Pair with hot meat dishes, cured meats, risotto or pasta.
Label / history
The Villa Diana range is dedicated to Diana, the Roman goddess of nature and the hunt, femininity and fertility. Often depicted as a huntress with a bow and quiver, accompanied by hunting dogs or deer, she inspired the range’s bow emblem. The black label features gold embossing and a hunting bow, intended to evoke her mystery and strength.
