Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The estate has approximately 15 ha of land in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Cabernet Sauvignon has adapted well to the area’s soils. The vines tolerate temperature changes and frost, while the grapes’ thick, tough skins help protect them from grey rot.
Vinification
Ripe bunches are carefully harvested with specialised equipment and gently pressed. Vinification takes place in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
After bottling, the wine rests for 2–4 months. Its tannic structure allows it to develop further with age.
Tasting profile
Elegant and concentrated on the palate, with a refined texture, complex aromas and high tannins.
Label / history
The family estate was founded by winemaker Valentino Butussi, who devoted his knowledge and passion to the winery from 1910 onward. His son, Angelo Butussi, and four grandchildren continued the family business and its inherited winemaking traditions. In 2012, the estate received the “Gold Medal for Best Company” at the regional wine competition in Bertiolo.
