Tenute Piccini named an Export Champion 2026 by Sace and Forbes Italia
The Tuscan wine group received the Agrifood Export Champion award after expanding its presence to more than 90 countries.
Recognition for international growth
Tenute Piccini has been included among the Export Champions 2026, an award program promoted by Sace—the Italian Export Credit Agency owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance—and Forbes Italia. The initiative recognizes businesses that use exports and internationalization to support growth, innovation and competitiveness while contributing to the global standing of Italian products.1
The Tuscan wine group received the distinction in the Agrifood Export Champion category. It was one of 58 companies selected for the inaugural edition of the initiative, with the organizers highlighting its expansion to more than 90 countries and its work in presenting Italy’s winemaking heritage internationally.1
Roots in Tuscany, estates across Italy
Tenute Piccini is rooted in Tuscany and owns estates in several prominent Italian wine regions from the north to the south of the country. Its international development has combined ties to its places of origin, an emphasis on individual denominations and adaptation to changing global markets.1
This strategy has reinforced the Piccini Group’s position in the Italian wine industry, particularly in the Chianti DOCG and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG denominations.1
Mario Piccini: internationalization is central to the strategy
Piccini Group chief executive Mario Piccini said the recognition from Sace and Forbes Italia confirmed the company’s work over the years and was a source of pride. He described internationalization as a longstanding pillar of the group’s strategy and said operating in more than 90 countries allows it to represent not only its wines but also the history, culture and identity of their territories.1
Piccini added that, in an increasingly competitive global market, Italian products remain strong when companies innovate without abandoning their roots. He credited the group’s entire team and said the award would encourage further growth in international markets.1
