Updates from Fattoria Ambra – 11 July 2023

Spring 2023 was very rainy and cool, producing vigorous vine growth and a good reserve of water in the soil. Below-average temperatures continued into summer. Frequent rainfall encouraged downy mildew, Plasmopara viticola, but damage in the estate vineyards remained limited. Harvest was expected to begin later than in the preceding vintages.
