Updates from Fattoria Ambra – 24 October 2022

The olive harvest was almost complete, with good yields of both fruit and oil and little olive-fly damage. The estate counted approximately 1,000 olive trees, planted with Frantoio, Moraiolo and Leccino.

At Montalbiolo, one hectare had been ploughed in preparation for planting Sangiovese in November 2022 or early 2023, depending on weather conditions.

The 2022 wines had completed alcoholic fermentation. Whites and rosato had been racked into steel, while reds had entered glazed concrete to undergo malolactic fermentation.
