Verticale di Prosecco ColFondo: 10 diverse annate in degustazione

The family assembled ten different vintages of its ColFondo for vertical tastings during 2020. The initiative was designed to test and demonstrate the ageing capacity of bottle-refermented Glera kept on its lees. Earlier estate tastings had already found that old magnums from 2009 and 2010 retained freshness and balance, reinforcing the view that the undisgorged lees act as a natural antioxidant and allow the wine to develop beyond the short life commonly associated with Prosecco.
