New vineyards in Valpolicella

The Valgatara operation expanded through long-term leases on five vineyards in Valpolicella Classica, together covering 3.41 ha. All five sites were already productive and trained to pergola. One 0.87-ha vineyard was selected for replanting to renew future production.

The expansion reinforced a cellar devoted to vinifying and maturing Valpolicella Classico DOC, Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC, Ripasso della Valpolicella Superiore DOC, Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva DOCG, Soave Classico DOC and Recioto. The renovated Valgatara facility continued to combine a modern working environment with approximately a century of inherited winemaking history.
