Barolo: the illuminated castle

With major events and initiatives postponed until the latter part of the season, Barolo marked the beginning of spring with a visible sign of confidence and hope. From 20 March, a large luminous projection on the façade of the Falletti municipal castle faced the valley and the surrounding Barolo hills.

The castle was chosen for its central role in the initiative. It houses WiMu, the Wine Museum, whose scientific committee prepared the candidacy dossier and programme on behalf of the municipality. That work enabled the village to receive the first Italian City of Wine designation, promoted by the National Association of Cities of Wine and MIPAAF.
