Sovescio un manto dorato

At San Brizio, green manure is sown in alternating rows using legumes, grasses and other plant species. The flowering cover fertilizes, feeds and regenerates the soil naturally, retains water and keeps the ground soft and workable. It increases vineyard biodiversity and provides pollen for beneficial insects, especially bees. The practice is presented as a cycle in which the end of one plant generation lays the foundation for another, placing the soil at the centre of organic viticulture.
