Canorei: a Vineyard Steeped in History
Canorei is an officially delimited Roero MGA entirely contained within Tenuta Carretta. Its sandy-calcareous, freely draining soil encourages deep rooting, while Guyot training on renewed wood is intended to prolong vine life. The Arneis vines average more than 40 years old and combine low yields with thick skins. The article also described cool early-morning picking, whole-bunch pressing, low-temperature clarification, stainless-steel fermentation and maturation in French-oak and acacia tonneaux. The 2024 harvest marked 30 years since the first vintage in 1994.
