Premio Innovazione SMAU 2021

Cavit received the Innovation Award during SMAU Milano in recognition of the development of PICA, the Piattaforma Integrata Cartografica Agriviticola. Begun in 2010, the project was designed to manage the wine-production chain comprehensively, from grape cultivation to the final stages of vinification. It connects previously heterogeneous software tools and integrates them with established working and production practices. Andrea Faustini, oenologist and scientific director of Cavit’s agronomic team and the PICA project, described the award as recognition of Cavit’s research, development and pioneering work in this field.
