About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay is grown in several municipalities across Franciacorta, encompassing the area’s varied landscapes. Yields are kept below 60 hL/ha, with a planting density of 6,000 vines/ha.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-harvested during the first ten days of August and transported to the winery in small crates. They are selected in the vineyard and sorted again at the winery. After gentle pressing, the juice ferments in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16 °C. Secondary fermentation takes place in bottle.
Ageing
The wine matures for its first eight months in stainless-steel tanks, followed by around 55 months on the lees in bottle at a controlled temperature of 12–15 °C.
