Valpolicella had long been identified with rich, soft and complex wines shaped by the cultural heritage of appassimento. More recent demand has favoured lighter and more accessible products with reduced alcohol. The launch positioned lower-alcohol Valpolicella as a promising commercial direction while retaining the denomination’s quality ambitions.
