New geo-viticultural map of Montalcino presented at Vinitaly

Presented in Verona on 8 April 2025, the map was developed by the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino with the agricultural technology company Copernico and Masters of Wine Gabriele Gorelli and Andrea Lonardi. Conceived as an objective framework for describing Montalcino, it integrates geology with climate, average temperature, rainfall, wind, exposure and elevation. The intellectual property belongs to the Consorzio.
