A new 10-hectare Feudo di Mezzo vineyard bears its first fruit

The 2020 harvest brought the first fruit from a new 10-hectare vineyard in a single block at Feudo di Mezzo. Located in the center of northern Etna’s wine district, it was described as one of the larger vineyards in the denomination and was planted entirely with Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio.

The wider Sicilian harvest began at Noto on 10 August, while Etna’s later season was expected to continue until the end of October. Patricia Tóth represented the Etna production team’s perspective in the harvest report. The new Feudo di Mezzo planting was presented as a step toward higher quality and greater territorial depth.
