Sciaranuova Festival 2026 — “Dieci”
The tenth Sciaranuova Festival takes the title Dieci, marking a decade of theater in the vineyards below Mount Etna. The program reflects on the festival’s survival through a period shaped by the pandemic, geopolitical disruption and rapid technological change, while reaffirming theater as a space for reflection and surprise.
The family invited returning collaborators alongside a company appearing at Sciaranuova for the first time. The festival opens on 24 July with LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura and Tindaro Granata in Vorrei una voce, a work centered on women held in Messina prison and the music of Mina. On 25 July, Babilonia Teatri presents Calcinculo, combining rock music, magic and satire. The closing performance on 1 August is the regional premiere of La difficilissima storia della vita di Ciccio Speranza by Alberto Fumagalli, performed by Les Moustaches.
All three evening performances take place at Cantina Planeta Sciaranuova in Passopisciaro, with admission from 20:00 and performances beginning at 21:00.
