About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow in clay soils containing marine deposits and yield 50 hl/ha.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in early October, destemmed and gently pressed. During maceration, the must is stirred periodically to maximize tannin extraction. Alcoholic fermentation proceeds with natural yeasts under constant temperature control. The wine then spends six months in large barrels, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for 14 months in Slavonian oak barriques, followed by at least five months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Elegant and pleasant, with good acidity, mature tannins and a harmonious balance.
