FIOL Master 2025

FIOL Master 2025 was conceived to develop bartenders’ creativity and technical ability in Prosecco-based cocktails. Entry was open to professional bartenders of legal drinking age living in participating countries; returning title holders could not compete again. Each entrant had to submit one original drink with FIOL Prosecco Extra Dry or FIOL Prosecco Rosé as its principal ingredient.

The competition consisted of national stages in selected cities. Applications were assessed for the quality of the recipe and creativity of its presentation, without using employment history or years of professional experience as selection criteria. Finalists presented their cocktails to panels of industry specialists. Judging considered balance, innovation, appearance and the story behind each creation.

A qualifying drink had to make sparkling wine central to the composition and contain at least 60 ml or 60 g of FIOL. Recipes were limited to seven ingredients including the garnish. Entries also required a name, exact measurements, preparation directions and an image.

Each stage winner received an approximately two-day training experience in Italy, with travel and accommodation covered by FIOL. The program was designed around masterclasses, workshops, visits to places connected with FIOL’s identity, Prosecco education and sparkling-cocktail techniques. Industry specialists including Kevin Kos were to lead the experience. Winners could then take part in future initiatives as FIOL ambassadors.
