VINITALY 2025: A journey through the creative production chain of Marsala

From 6 to 9 April 2025, Florio presented its creative and evolutionary Marsala production chain at Vinitaly. The programme began with Grillo grown on well-drained sandy soils in the western Sicilian Sun Belt, moved through Vino Florio and culminated in Vergine Riserva and Superiore Riserva. Oenologist Tommaso Maggio and winery director Roberto Magnisi led dedicated masterclasses from 6 to 8 April. The presentation also addressed the agreement among the protection consortia for Madeira, Samos, Sherry, Porto and Marsala to pursue a joint UNESCO heritage candidacy for their historic fortified-wine culture.
