A journey through the Four Wines of Neive

The account presented Barbera d’Alba, Barbaresco, Dolcetto d’Alba and Moscato d’Asti as the four wines characterizing Neive. Within Francone’s production, Barbaresco centres on six expressions, primarily individual Neive MGAs: Gallina, Fausoni, Starderi and Albesani, alongside I Patriarchi and Riserva.

Gallina was described as the historic family vineyard, with southern exposure, calcareous marl and Nebbiolo vines more than 50 years old. Fausoni joined later, while separate Starderi and Albesani projects began in 2020. Menturin represents the historic Dolcetto vineyard on the southern side of the Gallina slopes.
