Barbaresco Albesani and Starderi: new wines to discover

The Albesani and Starderi project began in 2020 to make Francone’s Barbaresco range more representative of Neive. Initial production was approximately 3,000 bottles for each MGA.

Albesani lies near the hilltop at about 270 metres, with southern exposure and laminated Sant’Agata Fossil Marls containing limestone, clay and silt. Starderi lies at about 200 metres with south-western exposure, clay-rich laminated Sant’Agata Fossil Marl and a microclimate moderated by the Tanaro River.
