Valentine’s Day: Francone wine and chocolate pairings

DelleRose Chardonnay was matched with white chocolate, while I Patriarchi Chardonnay was paired with milk chocolate and Piemonte IGP hazelnuts. Barbera d’Alba Amorosa accompanied chilli-flavoured dark chocolate, and Langhe Nebbiolo I Patriarchi was paired with dark chocolate and pink pepper.

Barbaresco Gallina was matched with 75% dark chocolate and raspberry, using the fruit’s acidity to meet the wine’s structure. Barolo accompanied dark chocolate with natural liquorice. Chynos di Barbaresco was paired with 70% dark chocolate and candied orange peel, linking citrus, bitterness and balsamic character.
