A closure for the environment, more quality for the wine

The initiative treated sustainability as a responsibility extending across the whole production cycle. Nomacorc Select Green was selected as a recyclable closure made from renewable, plant-derived polymers and manufactured with renewable energy. Its predictable oxygen transmission is designed to protect wine against oxidation, reduction and cork taint while allowing long-term development, including red-wine ageing for as long as 25 years. Replacing conventional cork closures with this system was credited with reducing emissions by approximately 20 tonnes of CO₂ in one year.
