La Guardiense gains recognition in Germany

Wine writer Jens Priewe devoted a special mention in Der Feinschmecker to La Guardiense and Anima Lavica Falanghina. He highlighted the Campania cooperative and selected the wine among Italy’s less obvious discoveries, describing its balance of succulence, delicacy, moderate acidity, lime, sage and a light smoky-lava character.

The recognition connected Falanghina with Benevento’s volcanic soils and reinforced the cooperative’s focus on native varieties and the mineral character associated with its ignimbrite sites.
